p.s. We are proud to have Team Members that take pride in what they do. Even when Bosses were not around... they choose to practice play with food / beverage in order to better oneself and improve on their skills ; ) Yes....we "play" while we work. We like to have fun ; )
Have you receive a doggie, a sword or a flower from us?
Ah.....come visit us and discover the child in you.
Being in the F&B Industry, we are seen as the Service Provider, whereby you, readers / guests of the restaurants; are the Consumers. However, because we are in the “people industry”, there are times whereby our regular guests became our acquaintance, and for some, subsequently, friends.
Can friendships develop from a mere
Service Provider – Consumer relationship?
Sure; butwhen and how?
Well, I don’t really know until today.
Grief – the sharing of grief, I realized today………
may be one indicator.
Strangely, when I was ordering the wreath, I couldn’t bring myself to order the usual arrangement with standees. I also couldn’t bring myself to even put the name of the restaurant down on the card.
This time, emotions are involved.
Instead of the standard practices, I
• handwrote the note….
• omitted the name of the restaurant….
• selected an arrangement familiar to what I got for my grandma….
• made the home visit alone.......
The frailty of life…
The grieving process….
In times of bewilderment, turmoil & perplexity, I cling on to this:
“And the peace of God which transcends all understanding
will guard your hearts and your minds
in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:7
D, F; you know what I’ve written on the card…….
take care my Friends....
Note: Wanted to insert a nice pic with this post, but sorry, couldn't decide on a suitable one...nothing is nice enough fo rnow. Please bear with me on this simple, wordy, no pic post. I am currently not exactly in the mood to find "a nice pic". I am sure you understand.
